Emergency Dentist, Dr. Michael Thomasino, DMD
Dr. Thomasino is the owner and founder of Jacksonville Emergency Dental. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. After practicing traditional dentistry for several years, he discovered the overwhelming need for urgent dental care in North Florida. In 2006, he opened Jacksonville‘s first acute Dental Care Center, Jacksonville Emergency Dental, to fill the medical/dental gap in patient care. He has now dedicated his career to serving emergency dental patients with quality, affordable and convenient care.
Dr. Thomasino, along with his team of Dental Associates and Assistants, provides exceptional emergency care to patients who have unexpected issues and those who lack comprehensive care. His number one goal is to get the patient out of pain quickly, so they can go on with their daily life. He now operates two locations, open 7-Days a week, to accommodate most dental emergency cases efficiently and effectively.
Dr. Thomasino has stayed active at the University of Florida as a faculty member instructing dental students in the oral surgery clinic in Gainesville. He also continues to support the dental community through memberships in the ADA, FDA, NEDDA and Jacksonville Dental Society (JDS) where he currently serves on the board. Dr. Thomasino has proudly called the First Coast home for most of his life and resides in Jacksonville with his wife, daughter and son.
Dr. Michael A. Aaro, DMD
Jacksonville native, Michael A. Aaro, DMD has been with Jacksonville Emergency Dental for nearly 10 years, first as a dental assistant during his undergraduate studies at University of North Florida and now, as a Dentist following his graduation from LECOM School of Dental Medicine. It’s safe to say he knows his way around the office here! Dr. Aaro brings expert knowledge and experience to the patients at Jacksonville Emergency Dental. He prides himself on providing fast, quality dental solutions at an affordable price to patients.
Dr. Aaro is well versed on surgical procedures including wisdom teeth extractions, as well as, dealing with complex dental emergencies. He is currently furthering his clinical studies with coursework on dental implants. He has a calming demeanor and puts his patients at ease.
Dr. Aaro spends his free time volunteering for dental non-profit events like “Give Kids a Smile” and “Mission of Mercy.” He is a devout Jacksonville Jaguar fan and recently married his soulmate. He continues to explore what this great city has to offer and strives to be a great community member.
Dr. Joshua Blimbaum
Dr. Joshua Blimbaum was born in Toronto but moved to Fort Lauderdale young, so he considers south Florida his home. He attended Nova Southeastern University for undergraduate school, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. He also earned a Doctor of Medicine in dentistry from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Blimbaum furthers his education by continuing education courses on specific dental topics such as Invisalign, oral surgery, and endodontics.
